To support the Alliance in meeting national requirements for Personalised Stratified Follow Up (PSFU) for people recovering from Cancer Therapy, a major Cancer Alliance has commissioned The Clarity Practice to support its Remote Monitoring System (RMS) strategic programme.
Awarded through a competitive procurement, the engagement involves working with the Cancer Alliance team, it’s five constituent Acute service providers and their patient representatives to:
· Break down national policy requirements
· Define the objectives and critical success factors of the programme
· Understand the needs and experiences of patients on recovery pathways
· Analyse the technical position of each provider
· Profile the available vendor market
· Appraise options and support procurement activity where required
Person-led follow-up and surveillance is essential for recovering cancer patients and an area where clinical and administrative capacity can be released within a service that is in high demand.
The principles of Person-led follow-up and surveillance can also be expanded to include other chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, as well as opening up the potential use of new technologies such as wearables and smart monitors.
